This is a beautiful fan and the value from LU was great. However, we had a problem which started the day after installation with the fan turning off intermittently by itself. The instructions were not helpful because they did not have a trouble shooting section. We were very frustrated getting help from the manufacturer and spent a lot of time on-hold with their customer service and tech support.

We eventually had our electrician come out again for another service call and he changed a setting, which seems to have solved the problem. Had we bought from a local dealer, they included any follow up service in their installation charge and this would have been covered. However, they were charging MUCH more for this fan in-store.

Although the mfg warrants the fan for defects, it does NOT pay for the cost to uninstall and return the defective fan and reinstall a new fan and had this been necessary it would have been very costly. So, while I am glad to have a beautiful fan that works great now, I am also a little wiser after this experience about the pros & cons of buying a fan online.
